The Junior Leadership Program is designed to develop leadership skills among African-American youth by creating a positive image, communication skills, and opportunities that will help them plan for success in their school careers and future work experiences.
The program offers a format for these youth to be exposed to educational opportunities in the state of Colorado, i.e., University of Colorado at Boulder, the Air Force Academy and the U.S. Olympic Center.

Tomorrow
The sponsorship of Frontier Airlines and Southern University assisted in our
effort to introduce rising Colorado high school juniors and seniors to Historically
Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This sponsorship is a profound example
of the role collaborations between the corporate community; educational institutions
and community-based organizations can play in creating future leaders. It
is our hope that this premier program will be the first of many offering a
hands-on experience for young people in Colorado to travel outside of their
state when considering future educational options.
