Program Goals:

• To provide an opportunity for African-American youth to meet and interact with adult role models who are working in, or retired from traditional and non-traditional occupations and services;
• To foster awareness of career opportunities for African-American youth and how to prepare for them;
• To increase the proportion of African-American youth interested in post-secondary education and preparation for careers in technology, engineering, business, health care, math and science:
• To provide information on self-esteem, personal development, values clarification, decision making,life choices, conflict resolution and problem solving

 

Expanding the Visions (ETV) and Sistah Pride

This year, Expanding the Visions (ETV), Sistah Pride and the entire family come together to dialogue about respect, peer pressure, school, career, and other life choices. The conference includes an adult component designed to participate in informative sessions that relate to everyday issues such as healthy relationships, parenting, nutrition and more. Parents, grandparents and other extended family and friends are welcome to join us for a dynamic day of reuniting our families.
