Enrollment Process
You may enroll in the program by completing the attached application accompanied by the full tuition. You can mail or fax your application. Your enrollment will be confirmed in writing within two weeks. Pre-work is required two weeks before the first session, so we encourage early enrollment. Due to limited enrollment, all applicants will be required to attend a personal interview prior to acceptance in the program. The interviewing process will begin one month before the first session. Again, we encourage early enrollment to complete this process.
In order to provide the best learning experience for everyone involved, we have limited our class size to 24 participants. This will ensure that our trainers and participants have positive and effective interaction in the classroom discussions and while working as teams. If we have enrolled participants before the November deadline, we will start a waiting list, in case of cancellations.
Who participates in the AALI Adult Program?
The AALI Adult Leadership Program is designed with a specific focus on the African-American leadership journey, with emphasis on effective leadership. Whether you are a corporate employee, work for a non-profit, or a business owner, if you have the desire to develop personally, this program is for you. Our participants represent a diverse range of backgrounds and skills.
Program Fee
The tuition fee of $4,250 covers all program materials and meals and is due upon acceptance into the program by December 15, 2010. After this date, tuition costs will increase to $4,500. The following credit cards are accepted for payment: Master Card and Visa. If you are writing a check, please make it payable to The African-American Leadership Institute.
If required, AALI will issue an invoice for a company purchase order. Please submit your request in a timely manner in order to accommodate your company’s processing procedures.
Cancellations and Transfers
AALI incurs a substantial amount of administrative and pre-work costs related to your registration. As a result, anyone canceling or transferring less than five weeks prior to the starting date of the program will be charged 25 percent of the program fee. If you cancel only one week before the program, 50 percent of your tuition fee will be forfeited. There will be no reimbursement of fees for cancellations or transfers on the starting day of the program. A substitute participant can attend in your place, if arrangements are made two weeks prior to the start date. The new participant will be required to turn around the pre-work quickly, so please take into consideration the above deadlines.
You must sign and date the cancellation policy of the application before you registration is valid.
To enroll you may download and complete the 2010/2011 application.
